The method of study

How to begin to study?

On the home page click the button Ulpan A

A certain number of classes will appear.
A new click and you are already in the first lesson, be prepare to this adventure:
To learn Hebrew language with joy.

The activation of the program will provide you three essential
aspects for the study of a language:

1. Voice.
2. Words - Phrases - Texts.
3. Demonstration through a didactic design.

1. Voice - you will be able to listen to every word or phrase an endless number of times with a click on the play button.
It’s very important to listen to the words and at the same time to say them out loud.

2. Words - Phrases - Texts - The texts of the classes advance in a progressive form which depends on the one learned in the previous class.

The grammar of the language is interlaced in the text and in the different classes without being a burden for the student. The grammar is integrated in accordance to Modern Hebrew and to the advance of the course.

This system "forces" to learn in a way that progresses in accordance with the order of the classes and in this way facilitates the acquisition of a wide base and of a logical formation of the language.

This course is not a compilation of topics like many "manuals of conversation", very common in the whole world and that offer useful phrases for different situations (useful for tourists).

This course, as was explained on the page "the natural way", directs the student in the way of a child who acquires his natural language skills before "he sat down to study” in a school frame.

3. Demonstration through a didactic design - The design of the verbal content, the photographs and the color facilitate the comprehension of the material. You will have to bear in mind that certain colors constantly accompany the characters of a story that develops from the first class and up to class number 20. The yellow is the background color of the explanations that are needed in every stage to understand the grammar of the Hebrew language.

To enrich your learning you will be able to study different idiomatic expressions that appear in the texts and his translations. The same expressions appears also in the dictionary.

Two engines are at the service of the student to facilitate the advance of his study:

a. - Dictionary.

b. - Written exercises.

a. - Dictionary: it is possible to go to the dictionary from every screen. The dictionary translates the words and the expressions in the text into several languages at the same time.
All you have to do is click on the symbol with the flag of your preference that appears at the top of the screen.

The dictionary is composed of two parts: the first part that appears is the dictionary with all the words of the lesson that you are studying. It is possible to go to the second part by clicking on one of the letters that appear in the red circles at the bottom of the first dictionary.
In each letter you will be able to find all the words of the entire course that begin with this letter.
To return to the screen of the lesson that you are studying, simply close the screen of the dictionary or minimize the screen to leave it in use.

The search of words in the dictionary is an excellent opportunity to constantly widen your knowledge of the structure of the written word and of the idiomatic chain.

b. - Written Exercises: this is an integral and important part of the structure of the course. The exercises centralize all the knowledge of the studied lesson together with the knowledge accumulated up to the moment- For example: if we speak about lesson number 8, the exercises referring to this lesson centralize what was learned in this lesson together with
what was learned in the previous lessons.

If the student does not do the exercises, he will not be able to asses if he has absorbed the material he has been studying up to the moment.

How do you get to the exercises?

Over the illustration that tells us that we have come to the end of the lesson, we will be able to find a button with the inscription "exercises".

You can print them and thus be able to write your answers.

And only then when you have finished the exercises, you will have finished the lesson.

Good Luck!!
